Each year, MACCC is hosting a composition competition and invites entries from any community college student. Cash prizes are awarded for first and second places, but all students receive the comments of the judges to help them hone their compositional techniques. So, encourage (berate, threaten, etc.) your students to get out those past projects, touch them up a bit, and submit them to us for the competition. All entries should have: a full score; an audio recording (live recording or MIDI); completed entry form (found at our web site); and the entrance fee.
